This is a picture of a silhouette of my wife when she was a little girl. I cut this on a scroll saw and mounted it in a 8x10 frame. She was one of 5 kids in her family so I made images for everyone in the family and a second set for my in-laws.
I experimented a few years earlier on making "pictures in wood". Well, I was close in figuring it out but it was not until a few years later that I saw the front of a woodworking magazine where Gary Browning (his web site) figured it out. One read of the article finally put it all together for me. I had even thought beyond my stumbling block to how I was going to display the images - this is the final result.
